June 7th Good samaritan

 Today we are going to hear another story Jesus told.  It was about being kind to everyone - even people who arent our friends

Can we remember what happened in the story?  Some people jumped on a man and hurt him .  That wasnt very nice was it.?  He was lying in the road and some people came by.  What did the first person do?  Yes, he walked past.  Maybe he was too busy or he did want to get his clothes dirty.  This was sad because that person worked in a church for God.   Do you think God was happy that the man left the man in the road?   Another man came along but he didnt help either.   Then a Samaritan came along.  Can you remember what the story told us about the Samaritan?   He came from a different town and went to a different church and nobody really liked him.  But he was the one who stopped to help!

Jesus told the story to show people that it doesnt matter what we look like or where we live or which church we go to = we need to love and help everyone.  God wants us to be kind because He is so kind to us.  He wants us to help people because He helps us all the time.

April 26th Good Shepherd

 ) talk time -  what did we do this week 2)   Before EASTER we were learning about Jesus.  We learned that He came as a baby,  He had a family and He went to school and grew up just like we do.  We learned that Jesus came to show us what God is like.  As a grown up Jesus did lots of wonderful things.  He looked after people and was kind.  He made sick people better and even made dead people come alive again.   Today we are going to look at one of the things Jesus said.  He said some very interesting things which are important. April 19th Light of the world

  Talk time   Does anyone know what our senses are?  We have five of them.  They are things our bodies can do which are really amazing.  Our senses are sight, smell, touch, hearing and taste.  Show me what you use to see.  What do we use to hear with?  What do we use to smell with?  What do you use to feel things with ( they will say hands but point out that we can feel with all areas of our bodies)   What do we use to taste things with?  Isnt it wonderful that God has made us with ears and eyes and noses and mouths so that we can experience things in the world around us.  Lets pray and thank Him for our bodies and pray for anyone who isnt feeling well.   Pray.
